A computer that runs a program based on Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and through it an animation while on battery power will unexpectedly experience dramatically increased power consumption. The result of this is that the computer’s battery power quickly diminishes.
Microsoft has released a hotfix that resolves this issue and has recommended that the hotfix only be applied to computers where the problem has been observed. A hotfix can be obtained from Microsoft by utilizing the proceeding request link:
