A computer with Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) CD and DVD drives may not be available when starting a Windows Vista computer.
Microsoft has released a hotfix which fixes this problem. However, Microsoft strongly urges that one should only install this hotfix unless the computer has SATA drives and they are not being detected by Windows Vista.
