A vulnerability exists in the Windows Domain Name system (DNS) Servers could allow for spoofing which could compromise Internet traffic.

A security update has been issued by Microsoft that fixes this issue for all supported versions of Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003. The security update addresses this by improving the efficiency of the randomly generated the DNS transaction IDs.

Microsoft strongly urges all affected users apply this update as soon as possible!
