Posted By: ensiformA combo TV tuner that supports ATSC and NTSC signals does not correctly configure with Windows Media Center.
If this is the tuner in the computer it may do one of the following:- Windows Media Center will not detect the TV Tuner at all.
- Windows Media Center does not correctly configure the tuner when using a manual tuner configuration.
- When configuring Windows Media Center to receive Digital TV and analog cable TV, you can only view the analog cable channels. Also, the digital channels may appear in the guide however cannot access them.
The latter of the above items may also cause the following error message to show up:
Cannot Play Program
The channel may not be supported. If you cannot tune to any other channel, restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer, then try again.
Microsoft has released a hotfix that corrects this problem with Windows Media Center. To get this hotfix it must be requested at the following link:
