A HD audio device may cease to perform after resuming from hibernate or sleep in Windows Vista.

An “X” icon may appear in the system tray over the volume control icon, or you may just stop hearing any audio coming from the speakers. This may also be a modem in which case, the modem does not connect to the internet.

To fix either of these problems, please choose the correct architecture of Windows:
